Himitsu had been on my list for a while, and we finally had the chance to visit. When they first opened, a friend suggested we skip bringing our son since the space was very small and intimate. Since then, they’ve expanded with a Covid-era patio in the parking lot, and it’s been done really well.
The food was excellent across the board. The wasabi Caesar salad was a standout—perfectly balanced and full of flavor. My boys especially loved the ribeye katsu sando and the miso black cod. On the sushi side, the highlights were the tasha roll and all of the nigiri we tried: wagyu, aburi toro, chu toro, albacore, and hamachi belly. Everything was top-notch, beautifully prepared, and thoughtfully presented.
The only drawback was the service, which was unusually slow the night we went. That said, the staff was attentive, checked in often, and did their best to make us comfortable despite the delay.
Overall, Himitsu is absolutely worth the visit, and we’ll definitely be back!
