Cafe Aroma in Idyllwild!

Absolutely love Café Aroma! We were lucky enough to snag a private room — warm, cozy, and filled with eclectic art that made it feel extra special.

The food was nothing short of spectacular — honestly, I didn’t expect this level of culinary finesse in a small mountain town! We kicked things off with some incredible toasts, then dove into the cacio e pepe with black truffle (made with cauliflower rice as a substitute — fabulous!). The Alexander chicken pasta and the ribeye were equally fantastic. I’m already planning my return trip just to try their bananas foster.

I really appreciate how accommodating the menu is for dietary needs — plenty of gluten-free dishes (or ones that can be made GF), along with solid vegan and vegetarian options.

The restaurant itself is charming, with a thoughtful mix of indoor and al fresco dining. The décor and furnishings are beautifully curated, and yes — the bathroom art is worth a mention, especially the cheeky naked lady painting that made me laugh.

Service was friendly, attentive, and spot-on from start to finish. Highly recommend!
