San Diego was ready for a new Nobu, and the new Nobu del Coronado location delivers. The tropical ambiance, stunning ocean views, and mostly open-air layout make this spot feel both elevated and relaxed.
I started with a drink at the bar while waiting for our table, and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming.
Dinner was phenomenal. We ordered many of our Nobu favorites – yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna on crispy rice, miso black cod, baby artichoke salad and rock shrimp tempura. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi was also excellent—clean, precise, and satisfying.
Having visited several Nobu locations, I can say this one stands out for its setting and atmosphere. It’s a beautiful space that captures the Southern California vibe perfectly.
The staff was gracious and the experience overall was outstanding. I highly recommend Nobu del Coronado for both longtime fans and first-timers looking for a memorable meal by the ocean.
